Pharmaceutical and Medical

Client

A major UK-based European pharmaceutical company, with recent acquisition of several generic brands, for which pan-European marketing approval has recently been obtained or is currently being applied for, now opening up to Western European and Scandinavian markets. Aradco is the sole translation supplier for their packaging and product literature.

Problem

Creation of multi-language product literature to support applications for marketing approval across the EU, including all product literature such as summaries of product characteristics, packaging inserts, pack and label text, with only limited in-house language and technical resources, a restricted budget, assured consistency, and a requirement for a streamlined process.

Solution

Aradco took a detailed brief from the client, establishing their goals and requirements, as well as making a full assessment of the client’s own resources and capabilities. Streamlining the administrative processes involved developing a bespoke web portal for management and tracking of individual projects and jobs, and was provided by Aradco at no additional cost to the client. All projects are logged and their progress status is regularly updated. Both the client and dedicated Aradco project managers are able to track the status of a project, upload or download files and query delivery of files. This ensures that key milestones and deadlines are met, and that there are no hidden costs relating to project management or other time. This has resulted in clear efficiencies and savings on both sides. The client has a dedicated Aradco account manager with project managers and specialist translators in each of the required languages working in close collaboration, all of whom work smoothly and effectively with the client’s market representatives around Europe for final approval and sign-off. We apply the most rigorous criteria for the selection of our specialist translators, and a QA process that ensures the finished translations comply with EMEA medical templates and use approved medical terminology.

Current status

We now successfully provide all of this client’s translation requirements for the Scandinavian and Western European markets to the highest standards of quality and accuracy. We have built a relationship of mutual trust and confidence and have brought savings not only by helping to streamline processes on both sides and by offering volume discounts and competitive pricing, but by ensuring that the work we produce is right first time.
